Daniel BIRCH, living at No. 8, Church Lane, St. Mildred's, said that on the morning of the 20th he was at work in Messrs. Williamson's tanyard at 6 o'clock, close to the river. Some time after in crossing over the bridge from one yard to the other he saw something in the river. By getting close to it he saw that it was a woman. He then called for assistance and pulled deceased out and then sent for the police with the ambulance. Deceased was then removed to the Mortuary. (death of Anne Amelia GILES). KGaCP Sat Dec 26, 1896
