PLEASE NOTE THE FAMILIES MAY NOT BE RELATED TO EACH OTHER

__

My own dear departed father Mr. Neame died February 1861

__

My much beloved and ever to be lamented Mamma who died May 4th, 1864

*there was a note with the photographs as follows:

These photos are of Mr. Neame who died February 1861.

His wife Mrs. Neame, who died May 4th, 1864.

The child is a daughter Constance born (approx) 1854 - she married William HELPS a Captain in Northern Bengal Mounted Rifles. Their married life was spent on their Tea Plantation, they had 6 children (3 boys, 3 girls). Constance died after a difficult childbirth in 1888, the baby dying the following day.

The writing on the rear of the pictures is that of Constance.

*I cannot find anything to collaborate this yet (the photo's are obviously copies of older pictures as they are not clear and the card backs are most likely made after 1864 when the princesses Helena and Louisa visited Canterbury.)
