Pte. Charles Henry Hadlow of 3 Union Road, Ivy Lane, Canterbury (born c. 1886) The Buffs (8th and 6th) - wife Ellen Jane Legge (married 1913), died October 23, 1918 - Brewer's Drayman (1890's the family was living at No. 1 North Lane), parents Arthur Hadlow a Labourer and Clara G. Hadlow.

Lance Corporal William Robert Hoare, (born c. 1889) The Buffs 79015 - Painter, 4th & 2nd Battalion, (starting in 1909 he was in Hong Kong, Singapore, India, and France) parents Robert Hoare a bricklayers labourer born in Patrixbourne and Selina Hoare born in Lincoln, residing at 31 Ivy Lane since at least early 1900's, Canterbury. Brothers Thomas and Edward and sister Adna - missing in action
