Manor House, SOLVED

Many thanks go out to Andrew of Canterbury Archaeological Trust for identifying this lovely old building as the Manor House at Upper Hardres, and for the very informative write-up below.

The main part of the building (between and including the twin gabled portion) was largely constructed in the early nineteenth century from a smaller, early (c, 17th century) building. The extension to the left is believed to have been built in the late 1920's - early 1930's. This later portion of the building has recently been demolished in preparation for a new more sympathetic enlargement.
